About Me
Hello Creators Family!
I’m Nia, dance educator and photographer based out of South Florida. For as long as I can remember I have seen the world through a dancers eyes, like many little girls I started dancing when I was 2 years old, the difference is never looked back. I trained in all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Argentinian Tango. I began teaching at age 16 and quickly found a passion for it too.
However, when it came time to choose a major in college I followed another passion of mine and got my bachelors degree in film. Through those years I started to get more and more involved in photography and by the time I graduated I knew that was the business I wanted to be in, without letting go of dance of course. I have continues to educate myself in the world of dance and movement. I’m an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. I’m also a certfied teacher through Progressing Ballet Technique as well as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Movement is my biggest passion and I love exploring new techniques and training methods to reach a broader population, because we all have bodies and we all deserve to move and feel confident in them. Now how does all of this tie together?
I love seeing the boom in confidence as dancers learn a new skill and with photography I love capturing their growth. Photography allows us to save these moments forever and there is no better feeling than capturing your wow moments and seeing the looks on your face when you realize all that you are capable of. I treasure being a part of my clients journey through dance and beyond. It’s an honor and a privilege any time I get to capture a family, couple, or a portrait of you. My main goal is always to be a mirror for the light that shines within you, we take our time, get to know each other and have a blast coming up with concepts that you will treasure for a lifetime.
